Introducing Jamie on Software
I’m happy to announce my new blog, Jamie on Software. I’ll be writing here about development, business, entrepreneurship, music, life, food, anything that takes my fancy. Hopefully what I write here will be of some use to you all.
I’m taking a different direction with my blog and personal site - the old format of my blog wasn’t working. Truth be told, it was too much of a commitment to keep, with each post needing three images and a lengthy bit of text. I felt bad with myself if it wasn’t particularly long, and that can’t be a motive to keep a blog.
http://jamierumbelow.net will become a personal site, and eventually a portfolio. Jamie on Software will be my blog. I’ll post articles, tutorials, ideas, quotes, dreams, art, whatever. The design is clean, purposeful and pleasant.
The name is taken from the inspiring weblog of the brilliant Joel Spolsky, Joel on Software. It’s powered by the fantastic CMS ExpressionEngine, and hosted by the excellent MediaTemple.
I’m a lot happier with this setup - it will mean more and better content. Hopefully, this blog will be something I stick to and keep awesome.
